To make it easier for students and teachers to establish a first point of contact with our University, some years ago every Oxford college was ‘linked’ to a particular region of the UK. Each link college knows their region particularly well and already has contact with schools and students in the area.
Link colleges in adjoining areas have recently come together to create Oxford for UK regions. By working together, these groups of colleges aim to help more local students from backgrounds that are under-represented in higher education to make successful applications to Oxford.
Each Oxford for UK region publishes a website showing the resources freely available to local students, their families and teachers, as well as giving details of outreach activities which Oxford colleges run in the region, in Oxford and online. The websites also include details of new collaborative projects providing sustained support for priority groups of students.
For further details, please select your Oxford for UK regional website from the map below. The listing to the right also shows the colleges working together in each region. You can also find out the link areas for individual colleges through our college pages.
Please note that getting in touch with the college linked to your region has no influence on students’ chances of being accepted to this or any other particular college. You are also very welcome to get in touch with any other college for advice about applying or studying here.
If you are a teacher or guidance counsellor and are unable to contact your link college or your Oxford for UK region, please email the central outreach delivery team: firstname.lastname@example.org
