Information & Communication Technology Forum (ICTF)
Bringing Oxford's IT community together.
Ideas. Innovation. Collaboration.
For more than 30 years, the ICTF Conference has brought together the people who keep the University of Oxford connected, secure and moving forward. Each year, colleagues from across the collegiate University of Oxford and the Oxford Colleges, the University of Cambridge, the wider higher education sector, and leading technology partners come together in Oxford to exchange ideas, share experiences and explore the technologies shaping the future of higher education.
The ICTF Conference is more than a conference: it is a community; a forum for IT professionals, researchers, digital leaders and technology partners to learn from one another, build lasting professional relationships and inspire new ways of thinking.
Whether your interests are in cyber security, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, digital transformation, research computing or professional development at Oxford, ICTF offers something for everyone.
Why attend ICTF?
There are many great reasons to join the annual ICTF Conference. It's a great opportunity to:
- Hear from inspiring speakers and technology leaders
- Choose from a wide range of practical plenary and breakout sessions
- Discover emerging technologies, services and innovative ideas
- Meet colleagues from across Oxford, Cambridge and the wider higher education sector
- Engage directly with trusted technology partners and sponsors
- Build professional networks that continue long after the conference
- Continue the conversations at a popular evening networking event.
A community built on collaboration
Every ICTF Conference welcomes delegates from colleges, departments, divisions, professional services, the University of Cambridge and other higher education institutions. Our sponsors and partners are an integral part of the day, sharing expertise, demonstrating new technologies and helping delegates explore solutions to real-world challenges.
More than a day conference
ICTF combines keynote presentations, plenary sessions, practical breakout talks, a sponsor exhibition and networking opportunities throughout the day. Sessions are recorded and made available afterwards, allowing delegates to revisit presentations or catch up on those they were unable to attend.
Behind the scenes
Behind every successful ICTF Conference is months of planning and collaboration. The conference is delivered by the ICTF Conference Committee, with operational planning and delivery led by Oxford’s IT Support Staff Services team. From venue selection and sponsorship to delegate communications, registration, logistics, digital content and on-the-day delivery, this team provides the end-to-end conference and event management support.
