Alumni online account
From this account, you can update your contact details, manage your communication preferences, order your alumni card, unlock discount codes and access electronic journals via JSTOR.
How can I set up an account?
- Find or request your alumni number
You’ll need it to create your online account. Your alumni number can be found at the footer of any email you’ve received from the Oxford Development and Alumni Engagement team. It’s formatted 8–XXXXXXXX. If you don’t have it, you can request it by filling in this form. - Create an online account

Sign in to your online account to update your contact details, manage your communications preferences, get your alumni card, unlock discount codes and access electronic journals via JSTOR.
Alumni card
Your alumni card gives you access to a range of exclusive benefits and offers, including discounts at local Oxford businesses and entry to colleges.
There are two levels of affiliation: alumni and associate. You can check your eligibility here.
In November 2026 we launched the University's first digital alumni cards, giving Oxford alumni a convenient and sustainable way to carry their connection to the University with them wherever they go.
Who can set up an account?
If you matriculated as a student at Oxford, or completed an eligible non-matriculated course, you can apply for an online account. Please check your eligibility here. If you are an Associate through teaching or research, you may prefer to update your details by contacting our Alumni and Supporter Care team via [email protected].
How can I get an alumni card?
- Log in to your alumni online account
- Select the 'I want to' menu
- Select 'Request your alumni card'
- Review the details that will appear on your card and select 'Get your alumni card'. Or if you have already requested an alumni card, simply select 'Add to wallet'.
- Your digital alumni card will then be ready to download. Select 'Add to Apple/Google wallet' to add it to your mobile wallet. It is then ready to use.
Existing alumni cards
If you have a physical alumni card, these are still accepted by colleges and at our discount partners. You do not need to request a digital card as well, though you are welcome to do so.
If you do not yet have your alumni card and wish to request a physical, rather than a digital card, please contact the Alumni and Supporter Care team to request one for collection from University Offices, Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JD.
Please note that we require at least three working days' notice to produce cards for in-person collection. Cards can be collected Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Using your alumni card
Your alumni card is a symbol of your affiliation with the University and can be used as proof when required to obtain benefits and services provided by the University, or offers and discounts negotiated by Development and Alumni Engagement.
Your card is not proof of current membership of the University and cannot be used to directly access the Bodleian Libraries or other University buildings (alumni access to colleges excepted). Find out how to access the Bodleian.
Your card is restricted to your use only and may not be transferred to others so they can access benefits or assume affiliation with the University.
Continued misuse of the benefits associated with the alumni card could result in withdrawal of these benefits and loss of other services provided by Development and Alumni Engagement.
