Harassment and Sexual Misconduct training
All students starting a course at Oxford are required to complete the University's Harassment and Sexual Misconduct online training course.
The Harassment and Sexual Misconduct online training will be available from 1 September 2026. This page will be updated with the link to the training when it is available.
Being part of Oxford University brings people together across many different environments, including teaching spaces, accommodation, clubs and societies, social spaces, and online learning. We want all these spaces to feel fair, inclusive, and supportive.
Completing the Harassment and Sexual Misconduct training is a requirement for all students starting a course at Oxford, as part of the University’s commitment to preventing and responding to harassment and sexual misconduct.
By taking part in this training, you are contributing to building a community where everyone can belong, participate, and be themselves. The way we speak, listen, act, and support one another shape our shared environment.
Harassment and sexual misconduct can undermine dignity, wellbeing, learning, and participation in everyday university life. These issues may affect you directly or someone you know at any stage of your time here. This training aims to build awareness and understanding so we can create a more inclusive community together.
A full list of support services, together with information about University policies and procedures, is available on the Supporting Students at Oxford: Preventing and Responding to Harassment and Sexual Misconduct webpage.
Taking the course
The Harassment and Sexual Misconduct Training is a free online, interactive programme designed specifically for Oxford students by expert staff, and students.
Through reflections, scenarios and other activities, the programme supports education and prevention while helping you understand the support available, including where to go for advice, what options are available, how to access help if needed, and where to find information about reporting options.
You must complete the training before you begin your student registration. You are required to confirm completion of the training as part of your online student registration. Guidance on how to register, including access to the registration process, is available in the guide to registration.
The training will take between 60 and 75 minutes to complete.
