Our five-day Summer Schools in either Classics, Modern Languages, or Biology & Human Sciences will take place between Monday 17 – Friday 21 August 2026.

These Summer Schools are designed to give UK pupils in Year 12 (or equivalent) a taste of what it’s like to be an undergraduate studying at the University of Oxford.

Pupils will take part in an academic programme, live in College, meet current students, and receive guidance on applying to university.

The Summer School is completely free of charge. Accommodation and meals will be provided, and we will provide financial support to students to cover their travel costs.

The Physics & Engineering at Magdalen Residential is for Year 12 (or equivalent) students at UK state schools who are interested in applying to Physics or Engineering at university. The programme will take place on 18-20 August 2026. It is entirely free for participants, including accommodation, food and travel.

40 participants will receive the opportunity to visit and stay in Magdalen for this three-day residential programme, including academic taster sessions, tours of Magdalen and Oxford, admissions workshops, and more. Participants will also get to meet current undergraduate students and tutors in Physics and Engineering.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 17 June 2026.

Any accessibility needs will be addressed & accommodated on a case-by-case basis.

Our fifth annual residential conference for teachers in the UK state sector will take place between Monday 24 – Thursday 27 August 2026.

This four-day residential conference at St Hugh’s College includes:

Information sessions aimed at demystifying the Oxbridge application process;

Useful practical tips to help with reference-writing and supporting students through Oxford admissions tests and interviews;

We want you to experience everything our historic city has to offer – so we’ll also be visiting some of Oxford’s libraries, museums, and other attractions. We also have a lively social schedule planned, including punting and Formal Hall in College!

The Summer School is completely free of charge. Accommodation and meals will be provided. Attendees will have the option to arrive on the night of Sunday 23 August and stay an extra night before the programme starts, if travelling from further afield.

Join Worcester College’s admissions team for advice on writing a personal statement!

During the session, our Admissions Officers will go over the fundamentals of a strong personal statement, how to begin writing one, what Oxford University’s tutors are looking for in the statement, and what activities potential applicants can do to demonstrate that their potential for the course. This is also a great opportunity to ask any questions you have about this part of the Oxbridge application process.

Tickets are free and limited to one per person. Sessions are run online, over Microsoft Teams, and repeated on the following dates:

The Regent’s Park College Masterclasses are an opportunity for Year 12 students to get a taste of studying their subject of interest. Attendees will be able to experience university-style lectures and learn about teaching at an Oxford college. Furthermore, they will receive admissions advice from Oxford tutors themselves which they can use to produce a strong application.

The English Masterclass will include sessions on:

• ‘Reading Otherwise: Allegory in Literature from Milton to Orwell’ by Dr David Parry
• ‘Virginia Woolf, Sylvia Plath and the Psychiatrists’ by Dr Richard Lawes

Thinking about studying medicine or surgery? Want to learn more about the exciting field of cardiothoracic surgery? 

The Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery Student Education Committee invites secondary school and sixth form students to our MedPrep Webinar Series. Join us online from 6:00-7:30PM each evening, Monday 7 to Friday 11 September. 

• Monday 7 September: Intro to Cardiac Surgery
• Tuesday 8 September: Stages of Medical Training
• Wednesday 9 September: Intro to Thoracic Surgery
• Thursday 10 September: How to get into medical school
• Friday 11 September: Interactive medical cases and Q&A

These webinars will explore how to apply to medical school, what medical training involves, and introduce you to cardiac and thoracic surgery through interactive medical case discussions with current medical students and surgeons.

The University of Oxford offers a 4-year Graduate Entry Medicine programme (A101) for graduates in specific science degrees.

The day is designed to help students understand how to finalise their Oxford applications and prepare for the various stages of the application process. The day will involve workshops on personal statements, admissions tests, and interviews, as well as plenty of opportunities to ask questions of admissions staff, current Oxford students, and academics.

Lunch will be provided, and participants can also then stay with us overnight at Christ Church, completely free of charge, for the University Open Day on 18 September. We would not want the cost of travelling to Oxford to prevent students from participating and are able to offer support with travel costs by public transport.

We welcome applications from pupils about to enter Year 13 (or equivalent) who attend state-maintained schools in the UK. If the event is over-subscribed priority will be given to pupils who:

• have been eligible for free school meals,
• are from area of socio-economic disadvantage (measured by IMD quintiles 1 or 2 and ACORN categories 5-6),
• have been in care or are young carers,
• attend or have attended schools less able to support them,
• or would be the first in their families to go to university.

Oriel College’s Crescendo Programme, run in collaboration with the University of Oxford’s Music Faculty, is a series of outreach events aimed at UK state school students in Years 10-13 (or equivalent) who are interested in studying Music at university.

Between September and November, the programme will consist of a series of online sessions introducing new topics of Music scholarship and study skills, presented by academics and researchers at the university. The programme comprises the following events:

• 24 September - Songbooks and Amateur Musicking in the 19th Century with Emma Arthur
• 8 October - Film Music with Juan Carlos Mendez Alvarez
• 22 October - Listening to Lost Voices with Tyné Freeman
• 5 November - 20th Century Authoritarianism and Classical Music with Percy Leung
• 12 November - Study skills: researching and writing a university essay with Oriel Outreach Team

All sessions will take place online from 5-6pm. 

In addition to the online sessions, eligible Year 12 (or equivalent) students will also be invited to participate in an essay-writing component, producing a 1000 word response to one of the session topics. Students will then get the opportunity to discuss their work in an online 'tutorial' to get a taste of Oxford's teaching style.

Sign-up for online sessions closes at 9am on the day before each session. Applications for the essay-writing component closes 9am 2nd November.
