Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT)
The Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) offers fully-funded opportunities for DPhil study at the University of Oxford for exceptional graduate students.
About
The Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) and the University of Oxford are collaborating on a range of joint doctoral research projects across several research areas.
These projects bring together Oxford’s academic expertise and EIT’s mission-driven research, enabling researchers from both organisations to tackle global challenges through science and technology. EIT-funded students undertake significant, original doctoral research leading to a University of Oxford DPhil, while contributing directly to ambitious EIT research programmes.
Students receive full funding for their doctoral studies and become part of EIT’s wider research community, working alongside leading researchers and contributing to work with real-world impact.
There are two routes to applying for an Ellison Institute of Technology project at the University of Oxford:
- Apply for a course that has been established to provide only EIT projects; or
- Apply for an EIT project being offered by an existing Oxford postgraduate course.
Application routes vary by course and project, so please refer to the relevant information for each opportunity.
