Historic woodlands and a Site of Special Scientific Interest
- Visitors are welcome to walk in Wytham Woods, but you must obtain a free permit before your visit.
- To apply for a permit, complete the walking permit application form.

- Parking:
- There is a free, spacious car park.
- The car park does not have designated Blue Badge (accessible) parking bays.
- The surface is made of small stones and compacted earth—firm and relatively level, but with some uneven sections.
- From the car park:
- A gate leads into a field with a grass surface.
- A path from the field goes up a fairly steep hill into the Woods.
- Alternative entrance:
- Located a short distance from the main car park.
- Opens onto a tarmac track through a section of the Woods.
- This route is also up a fairly steep hill.
