Working with us
This area provides information for use by contractors, consultants and suppliers working with the University to support the development, management and operation of its estate. This includes documents setting out technical and design requirements for projects and systems of various types.
Philosophy Documents
The University maintains a suite of Philosophy Documents that set out its specific maintenance and design requirements for contractors, suppliers and consultants.
For example, the Building Services Design Guide sets out the University’s detailed technical requirements for all electrical, mechanical and other services within its buildings, covering both new builds and refurbishments.
Some of these documents must be followed at all times when carrying out work for the University, while others provide guidance.
If you are not sure whether or how a particular instruction applies to work that you are doing, please seek clarification from the relevant University contact.
Philosophy Documents form part of suppliers’ contracts with the University, and you must be able to provide evidence that you have complied with the relevant requirements.
