Oxford Lifelong Learning inspires people across the world to fulfil their potential – whether by studying for a qualification to change direction, enhancing their career with new skills, or learning simply to satisfy intellectual curiosity. Its extensive range of courses, provided in Oxford and online are led by tutors selected for their expertise and dedication to the exceptional teaching expected from a world-class university.
Most courses are part-time and are tailored for busy adults so that study can be fitted around personal and professional commitments.
Certificates, diplomas, master’s degrees and research doctorates are offered in a wide range of subjects. Increasing numbers of courses combine intensive one-week periods of residence in Oxford with tutored online study.
Within Oxford Lifelong Learning, the Graduate School aims to provide a stimulating and enriching environment for learning and research. It also supports intellectual and social interaction between graduates of different disciplines and professions from the UK and around the globe. A range of interdisciplinary research seminars, training opportunities and other events are offered.
The Graduate School will help you make the most of the wealth of resources and opportunities available, paying particular regard to the support and guidance needed if you are following a part-time graduate programme. The graduate community comprises over 600 members following taught programmes and more than 70 undertaking doctoral research.
Oxford Lifelong Learning is located in a block of attractive Victorian houses in Wellington Square in central Oxford close to some of the University's major libraries and museums and the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter. The city's historic sites, colleges, shops and restaurants are only a few minutes' walk away. The modernised and extended site has its own fully equipped seminar rooms, library, reading room, student computing facility, Graduate School study/social room, dining-room, common-room, garden seating areas and short-term student accommodation.
If you require accommodation, there are bookable en-suite study bedrooms. All rooms are modern and comfortably furnished, with tea/coffee-making facilities, television and free WiFi. Single, double and twin rooms are available as well as self-catering flats. There is also a bedroom suite on the ground floor of Rewley House, equipped for use by those with limited mobility, with an adjoining room for carers.
The Rewley House dining room offers a full meal service daily and there is also a student Common Room where refreshments can be enjoyed.
