Much of Professor James Goudkamp's research focuses on tort law, although his interests extend to other parts of the law of obligations and also to civil procedure. He is the author of more than 100 publications. In addition to his academic work, Professor Goudkamp practises as a barrister in London where he specialises in commercial law. His practice involves high-value complex litigation that usually has an international dimension. He has experience as an expert witness.
