Postgraduate research outreach opportunities

Are you a Postgraduate student and would you like to translate your research into fun and inspiring classroom materials? There are loads more outreach opportunities for 2021-22.

The University’s Central Outreach Team run a wide variety of outreach activity, and often have teaching, instructional design and other opportunities. Below are examples of some of the work that postgrads and early career academics have undertaken in the past:

  • A short talk about their research
  • A seminar or tutorial style class
  • Live webinars
  • Collaborative work with teachers
  • Design and facilitation of focus groups with students and parents
  • Interview support

The outreach team work with a wide range of year groups (Year 5 to Year 13) in state schools throughout the UK.  The work is online and we will be including some face-to-face sessions too.

If you would like the outreach team to notify you when any relevant outreach work is available, please sign up to the mailing list. In most cases all the opportunities are paid on an hourly rate.

By signing up you are indicating that you would like to be contacted should any suitable opportunities arise.  You are under no obligation to accept any of the opportunities and you can unsubscribe from the list at any time.  We will retain your details for the academic year 2021-22 and write to your next September to ask if you would like to renew your registration.

Contact [email protected] if you have any questions.
