Library updates

Explore the facilities available in our libraries to support your studies, research and teaching.

The demand for study space is currently very high, but the Space finder tool makes it easy to find and book study space across the Bodleian Libraries.

  • New slots for study spaces are released seven days in advance, between 7.30—9.30 am
  • Please ensure you book the most appropriate slot for your needs
  • When looking for study space, you may have better luck if you view all libraries rather than having a specific library in mind

During the booking process, you will be given the option to request support in regards to access needs

When you come to the library, please ensure that you bring your University Card with you as well as confirmation of your booking. (Your University Card acts as your Bodleian Reader Card, you don’t need any other cards to access the Bodleian.)

If you need to cancel your booking slot, then please click on the button in your confirmation email to send an automated cancellation. If you need another slot, you will need to use the Space finder tool again to rebook.

You can also choose to Browse & Borrow, enabling you to access the collections and borrow items when a desk is not required.

You can view the other options available to you in the Bodleian Libraries service updates.
