AfOx insaka- all things Africa in Oxford

The Africa Oxford Initiative (AfOx) is hosting the first insaka of the new year on Friday, 7 Feb 2020 at St Cross College. AfOx insakas take place twice a term and have become a focal networking point for everyone in Oxford with an interest in Africa. They feature two speakers from diverse academic disciplines, followed by networking and drinks.

The speakers for the next AfOx insaka are:
Professor Shadreck Chirikure: British Academy Global Professor, School of Archaeology, University of Oxford & University of Cape Town.
Title: Why is contemporary Africa poor: insights from archaeology and deep history

Professor Kate O'Regan: Director, Bonavero Institute of Human Rights
Title: Assessing South Africa's Constitution at 25

To attend the insaka please register below.

Throughout the year, AfOx also hosts academic and social events for African students in Oxford. To receive updates on events, opportunities and other AfOx programmes, sign up to the mailing list.
