UCAS ID policy for Oxford admissions tests 2025
To take an Oxford undergraduate admissions test, you must be applying for an undergraduate course at the University of Oxford. As part of the registration process, you will be asked to provide your UCAS ID, which we use to confirm that you are eligible to sit the test.
The test registration window is open from 18 June to 19 September 2025 (6pm BST). The deadline to submit your full Oxford UCAS application is 6pm BST on 15 October 2025. We cannot add candidates to the test system once registration has closed.
If you do not provide a correct UCAS ID during registration, and your booking is cancelled, you will not be able to sit the test.
This situation will not qualify for special consideration, nor will it be valid grounds for appeal if you are not shortlisted or made an offer.

1. What is a UCAS ID?
Your UCAS ID is a unique 10-digit number that you receive when you start your UCAS application. It appears in the top right-hand corner of your UCAS Hub page, under the heading ‘Your personal ID number’.
2. How do I get my UCAS ID?
You can register with UCAS from Tuesday 13 May 2025. Once you have answered the initial questions, provided some personal information and started your application, your UCAS ID will be generated.
You do not need to submit your full UCAS application to receive your UCAS ID.
3. Using your UCAS ID for Oxford Admissions Test registration
When registering for your Oxford Admissions Test on the registration portal, you will be prompted to add you UCAS ID on the UCAS information page. You must enter your UCAS ID exactly as it appears in your UCAS application.
You must use the same email address for your test registration as for your UCAS application.
We use your UCAS ID to confirm that you have applied to Oxford and are eligible to take the test.
4. What happens if my UCAS ID is incorrect?
If we cannot match your UCAS ID to an Oxford application, your test booking will be withdrawn, and you will not be notified in advance of this pending withdrawal. We will only contact you via the secure messaging on the Oxford Admissions Test Registration portal to confirm that your test registration has been withdrawn.
Candidates whose UCAS ID and admissions test registration successfully match will not be contacted by us.
5. Your responsibilities
It is your responsibility to:
