LMH Physics Taster Day

Students from state schools and colleges across the UK  in Year 12 (or equivalent) are invited to join us for our Physics Taster Day taking place on Monday 27 April 2026.

During the day there will be taster lectures in different topics with our academic tutors. You will get the chance to take part in hands-on academic sessions, and explore physics beyond the school curriculum. You will work through physics problems with tutors and students, and discuss concepts beyond those studied at A-Level. You will also be given a tour of the college by a current undergraduate student, and a free lunch in our dining hall.

You will have the opportunity to learn about Oxford, and the admissions process for Physics. This will include a discussion of the Physics Admissions test for Oxford, and a chance to ask questions to our tutors and current undergraduate students.

We welcome any Year 12 (or equivalent) student at a UK state school or college interested in Physics or a related subject, and who has a strong academic record. You will not require a laptop or other portable electronic device to take part in the event.
