As part of our work with Yorkshire & the Humber, we are running residentials for Year 12 students from the region. Our Humanities & Social Sciences residential is for students interested in English, Geography, History, Law, PPE, Philosophy & Theology, or Theology & Religion. You will get the chance to stay in Mansfield undergraduate accommodation, eat in our dining hall, take part in academic workshops, and learn about the Oxford admissions process. The residential, including accommodation and food, is free of charge. Travel bursaries will be available. Visit our website for more information.

Eligibility Criteria

The residential is open to Year 12 students attending a state school in Yorkshire & the Humber who are interested in studying one of the following subjects at university:

  • English
  • Geography
  • History
  • Law
  • PPE
  • Philosophy & Theology
  • Theology & Religion.

You should be on track to achieve AAA/A*AA or equivalent (depending on the course).

Selection Criteria

If a large number of applications are received, applicants' grades will be considered alongside other criteria, with priority given to those who are receiving or have received Free School Meals, are or have been in care, and/or will be the first in their families to go to university. We will also consider whether students live in areas with high levels of socio-economic deprivation and/or in areas with low rates of progression to higher education.

How Do I Apply?

Please complete our application form by noon Friday 27 February. Applicants will be notified about the outcome of their application by Friday 6 March.
