Corpus Christi College and the North West Science Network are excited to announce the launch of our first lecture in this year's 'Connecture' series. Our event is open to all Year 12 and 13 students who attend a school in the North West of England.

This three-part lecture series is designed to connect students to industry professionals and showcase the value of Higher Education for developing future aspirations and career goals. Connecture One will be hosted by James Kraunsoe, an Oxford graduate and currently Head of Strategy and Operations at AstraZeneca.

Alongside discussing his journey within the scientific field, he’ll introduce how Pharmaceutical Technology & Development (PT&D) at AstraZeneca transforms synthetic molecules into life-changing medicines—designing formulations, devices and manufacturing processes, and ensuring reliable clinical supply to patients worldwide. Throughout the session students will explore a number of case studies from James’ career and illustrate how the development of medicines is evolving to be more digital and more sustainable for the benefit of patients—showing how science, data and engineering come together to solve “impossible” problems.
