History of Art Taster Day

Ever wondered what ‘History of Art’ is? Are you interested in history, and do you enjoy looking at images? The Oxford History Faculty and Christ Church are inviting pupils in Year 12 (or equivalent) from UK state schools to join us on 18 February to explore what it means to be an Art Historian.

The day will include a variety of practical and academic sessions that will introduce you to the discipline of History of Art. You will have the opportunity to meet current students and explore Christ Church, including the Picture Gallery.

The event will be free of charge and lunch will be provided. We will be able to offer support with travel costs to students who have been in care, are young carers, have been eligible for free school meals, or who would otherwise be unable to attend.
