North East Open Day Residential
St Anne's, Trinity and Lincoln colleges will be running a residential trip alongside our University Open Days in July. This fully funded opportunity is to enable state school students from the North East to visit, experience and gain application advice and support, whilst staying in an Oxford College free of charge.
Year 12 students will travel to and from Oxford together by coach. There will be two coach pick-up points in central Newcastle and Darlington. Participants will stay for two nights in college accommodation and have all meals catered for in the college dining halls. We will run sessions on Oxford applications and how to make the most of the Open Day, as well as offering Q&A and discussion sessions with undergraduates. There will also be plenty of opportunities to speak to students more informally while travelling on the coach, at meal times and during undergraduate-led social activities in the evenings.
Year 12 students from state schools in the North East can apply for a place on the residential by filling in this form
Should this event be oversubscribed, we will prioritise places based on GCSE attainment and predicted A Level grades in the context of widening participation factors.
