Year 12 Chemistry Enrichment Day

We invite Year 12 students studying chemistry to celebrate 2019 as the International Year of the Periodic Table with lectures, workshops and a practical session in our new undergraduate teaching laboratory.

Draft programme:

9.45-10am - arrive and register
10-10.10am - welcome talk
10.10-11am - lecture - discovering elements
11am-12pm - tutorial / classroom workshop session
12-1.30 - lunch & tour of a college
1.30-3pm - UV/Vis workshop
3.15-4pm - lecture 2 - TBC
4-4.30pm - Chemistry at Oxford / Q&As / evaluation
4.30pm - optional tour of the chemistry department
