Wadham Summer Schools: Classics / Biology & Human Sciences / Modern Languages
These Summer Schools are designed to give UK pupils studying in Year 12 (or equivalent) a taste of what it’s like to be an undergraduate studying at the University of Oxford. Pupils will take part in an academic programme, live in College, meet student ambassadors studying at Oxford, and receive information, advice and guidance on applying to university.
The Summer Schools are free, with accommodation and meals provided by the College. We will provide financial support to pupils to cover their travel costs.
SUBJECTS: Classics, Biology/Human Sciences or Modern Languages
STRUCTURE: 5 days of study in Oxford, comprising academic sessions, meeting undergraduates, application support and more.
ELIGIBILITY: These summer schools are for students currently in Year 12 who are interested in pursuing a degree in Classics (Classics, Ancient History, Archaeology), Biology/Human Sciences (or related subjects) or Modern Languages (Languages or Asian and Middle Eastern Studies). Applicants must be students at a UK state school or sixth form college.
COSTS: None. Meals and accommodation are both provided free of charge. Wadham College will also cover pre-booked train and coach travel costs (and petrol costs if driven by a parent/carer).
DEADLINE: The deadline for submission of the application form and a reference is 5pm on Friday 2 May 2025.
