Virtual Study Day: Classics & Ancient History

Virtual Study Days give Year 12 students from UK state schools a taste of what it's like to study their subject at Oxford, alongside dedicated advice and guidance on making an application. Live academic content will be provided by Oriel academics, alongside sessions led by the college Outreach Officer and opportunities to interact with current undergraduate students.

This Virtual Study Day is designed for those interested in studying any course to do with the ancient world. At Oxford, this includes Classics, Classics Joint Schools, Classical Archaeology and Ancient History, and Ancient & Modern History. To reflect the admissions requirements of these subjects, NO prior experience of studying the ancient world and/or an ancient language is required. Participants who have had limited opportunities to study or otherwise pursue their interests in this area will be prioritised, alongside our regular criteria.
