Students from state schools and colleges across the UK  in Year 12 (or equivalent)  are invited to join us for our History Taster Day on Friday 8 May 2026.

Our History Taster Day gives students the chance to explore new ways of engaging with history. Students will take part in a number of academic sessions, including a taster lecture from an LMH History tutor and a source analysis workshop. The day will include an introduction to the History application process for Oxford, and a chance to ask any questions of LMH tutors and current undergraduate students in History.

All attendees will also receive a free lunch in the college hall, and a tour of LMH with a current undergraduate.

We welcome any Year 12 (or equivalent) student with an interest in History and a strong academic record. No specific history knowledge is required to participate, but a willingness and enthusiasm for exploring periods of History will help students to engage fully with the day’s activities.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 18 March 2026.
