Law Taster Days are for students in Year 12 (or equivalent) at UK schools, with priority going to those from under-represented backgrounds. The day provides an opportunity to explore the study of Jurisprudence at Oxford. During this full day programme, participants will attend lectures, seminars and workshops led by Oxford academics, as well as enjoy a tour of an Oxford college.

The event is repeated across two days, with a limited capacity of 220 students per day.

Nominations
School nominations open in early January 2026.

Each school may nominate up to two year 12 students and are encouraged to prioritise students from under-represented backgrounds where possible. This includes (but is not limited to):

  • students with experience of care
  • students eligible for free school meals
  • first-generation students
  • students from military families
  • students who identify as BAME

Travel Bursaries
A limited number of travel bursaries will be available for eligible students.

Further Information
Nominated students will receive a personal link to register themselves by midnight 15 February 2026.

It is the student’s responsibility to complete the registration to secure their place.
