Law Application Preparation Day
Are you: Studying at a UK state school? Thinking of making an application to Oxford University this October to study Law? Full of questions about how to do the best you can on each aspect of the admissions process? We would like to help.
There are a number of different stages involved in making an application to study Law at Oxford. We know that help with preparing for each of these stages is not evenly distributed among schools, and we want to offer support to ensure that all candidates feel confident in making their applications – no matter what kind of school they are currently studying at.
The Law Application Day on Monday 2nd September is a one day event that walks through each stage of the application process, offering advice, support and chance to practice different aspects of the admissions tests and interviews. In order to be eligible for a place on this event, you must be studying (A Levels or equivalent qualifications) at a UK state school, and planning to make your application this October. When applying for a place on the Application Preparation Day, you will be asked a number of questions that will help us to make sure that we are prioritising those who are the least likely to be receiving support similar to the kind we can offer in their schools and colleges, and who are currently under-represented in the University.
As this is a one day event no accommodation will be available, and we expect that participants will arrange their own travel to Oxford. Please get in touch with us if the cost of doing so is likely to make it difficult for you to attend, as some support may be available.
Please note that in order to get the most out of the event, you will need to have sat a practice LNAT in advance, which we will discuss in detail on the day. We will send further details of this to those who will be joining us on the day.
