The University of Oxford's Department of Computer Science and the Oxford Women in Computer Science Society (OxWoCS) are joining hosting an exciting event with plenty of hands on activities and coding challenges for mothers and their daughters. No experience is necessary from mother or daughter: just an enthusiasm to learn. This event is open to mother and daughter teams from the Oxfordshire area. (The student needs to either live or go to school in the county.) Daughters need to be in Year 7 (age 11–12) at a state school. Due to space limitations we can only accept a total of 15 teams, maximum 2 students per school. Priority will be given to applicants from low socio-economic status backgrounds.
