Join Oriel's Outreach team and Oriel PhD students to learn more about colonial history, the specifics of our current essay competition, and top tips needed for researching and writing like a university student.
In the second event of this three-part series supporting entrants to the Rex Nettleford Essay Prize, we will be looking at what colonialism means, plus tips for writing essays - including content on creating an argument, writing structure, and constructing a bibliography.
It is not expected that all attendees will enter the competition, and the session will offer beneficial advice for any students wanting to develop study skills for sixth form and university.
