The Oxford University African and Caribbean Society Annual Access Conference

The Annual Access Conference supports year 12 students of African and Caribbean origin to make competitive applications to the University of Oxford.

The Annual Access Conference is for high-performing Year 12 students with African and Caribbean heritage in state-maintained education. It is delivered by the African and Caribbean Society in partnership with the Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach office.

The conference aims to:

  • Support African and Caribbean students to make competitive applications to the University of Oxford
  • Provide a platform for pupils to ask questions and engage with relatable student role models of African and Caribbean origin who are currently studying at Oxford University
  • Assist teachers in providing advice and guidance to young people as they consider their higher education options

The 2017 Annual Access Conference took place on 11 July in London, where grime star Stormzy was honoured with the 'Person of the Year' award.
