The St John’s College Classics and Ancient History Subject Exploration Afternoon is open to pupils in Year 12 from schools across the UK, who are interested in pursuing Classical subjects at higher education level. The subject exploration afternoon will be hosted at St John’s College by tutors and current students, providing the opportunity for Year 12 pupils to experience an afternoon of academic taster sessions and ask any questions they might have regarding studying Classics and Ancient History to those who currently teach and study the subjects. The Subject Exploration Afternoon will also include the presentation of the St John’s College Classics and Ancient History Essay Prize winners with their certificates. Pupils would typically be studying Latin and/or Greek, or another language to study Classics, or History for Ancient History.
