British Bangladeshi and Pakistani Programme

Jesus College, Oxford is pleased to launch the 2026 British Bangladeshi and Pakistani Programme.

The British Bangladeshi and Pakistani Programme is a free outreach programme led by Jesus College, University of Oxford for British Bangladeshi and Pakistani students across the UK in Year 12 (or equivalent). It is targeted for students considering applying to highly selective universities such as the University of Oxford. Participants will have the opportunity to attend online webinars and workshops throughout Year 12/13. This will provide an opportunity to receive tailored advice on university applications from academics, current students, and access and outreach staff.

The programme is open to students who identify as having Bangladeshi/Pakistani heritage, who are currently in Year 12 (or equivalent) and are interested in applying to competitive universities, such as Oxford. The programme will cover both application tips and an opportunity to ask questions to current students on student life. The full programme outline is available via the Jesus College website.

In addition, we are pleased to offer up to 45 participants the opportunity to visit Oxford in August 2026. The visit day will consist of application sessions, advice from student ambassadors, lunch in our dining hall, academic taster sessions and tours of Oxford. The visit day is free of charge, and travel expenses to Oxford can be reimbursed for participants. Students who complete the optional visit day section of the application form will be considered for places and informed of the outcome during w/c 8 June 2026. Spaces on the visit day are limited.

For participants to be considered for the visit day, they must complete the optional section of the application form. We are looking for students to participate on the visit day who will benefit most from this opportunity and are considering applying to highly selective universities, such as Oxford.
