Welcome to our summer Open Days!

All the programme and planning information you need to attend our Open Days on Wednesday, 29 June and Thursday, 30 June is available below so start exploring now. We hope you will really enjoy your time with us and find out everything you want to know about Oxford and studying here as an undergraduate. We realise some of you may be travelling considerable distances but we suggest you arrive as early as you can as there is a lot to see and do, with most events running between 9am-5pm. Inevitably travel is likely to be delayed and journey times will vary but we strongly recommend that you allow an hour or more before arriving in Oxford and attending your first event. Do please read the travel advice - it will save you time on the day!

Course choice is the most important decision you will make when applying to university so we would suggest that you begin by looking at the departments' event timetables and prioritise finding out more about the subject(s) you are interested in. Colleges are at the heart of the Oxford student experience so also explore colleges' events and make sure you visit three or four whilst you are here. Try and draw up a shortlist of colleges before you come - the first thing to do is to check which ones offer the courses you are interested in. As well as going on college tours, when visiting you will also have a great opportunity to talk to tutors and students and find out more about what it is like to live and study within these close-knit and supportive academic communities.  If you are not sure where to start when you arrive in Oxford or have specific questions on admissions or student support services, then you are welcome to come any time to the Open Day Information Centre in the High Street which will be open from 9am-5pm.

It will be busy and you will probably leave feeling that there just wasn't enough time, but you should also have a really good idea of Oxford and whether it might be the university for you. The secret to open days is definitely planning, so do explore all the information given here as soon as you can.

Other visits

Don't worry if you can't come to an Open Day, you are welcome to visit at another time. College grounds are usually open to prospective applicants but you can also get in touch with the college linked to your region and let them know you are coming.  You may also be able to attend an event listed in our outreach calendar whilst you're here.
