Oxford is what you make it

Welcome to our undergraduate prospectus for entry in 2025

Lots of people have heard of Oxford University and the world-class education it offers. But do you know how much else you can do while studying here? Students study on average around 40 hours a week but the rest of the time you decide how to spend your time. That could be simply chilling and relaxing with friends, taking part in college sport, promoting a campaign you believe in, volunteering for a local charity, rehearsing for a play or something very different. Many of these activities are subsidised so this is a great time to try something new.

University is a big financial commitment and it's important you know how much funding is available to Oxford undergraduates, particularly if you are from the UK. Do check this out - you might be pleasantly surprised! We are committed to trying to ensure that no student offered a place is deterred from coming because of cost.

There really is no typical Oxford student and no single experience at our University. Staff and students come from all kinds of backgrounds but what they do share is a love of learning. We believe this helps to make Oxford one of the most exciting university environments anywhere. We hope you agree and that you enjoy finding out more about Oxford and deciding whether this might be the place for you.

Don't forget that if you'd like to experience Oxford for yourself rather than just taking our word for it, you can! Our June Open Days are coming up soon, on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 June. Everything you need to know to help you plan your day, get here, and really make the most of it is available on our website at ox.ac.uk/opendays. We look forward to hopefully seeing you in Oxford soon!
