The University’s Occupational Health and Safety
At the University of Oxford, the Occupational Health Service and Safety Office are central to our mission of excellence in teaching and research. We are committed to fostering a positive, inclusive safety culture that reflects the University’s global reputation and values.
The Safety Office provides leadership, training, and resources to help staff, students, contractors and visitors act as responsible members of a safe community. We support high standards of health and safety management across research, teaching, maintenance, and projects, offering practical solutions to keep our community safe and legally compliant.
The Occupational Health Service delivers provisions that support the University’s policies, focusing on the prevention of ill-health and the promotion of health and wellbeing in the workplace, including health surveillance, first aid and vaccinations.
Together, these services help everyone at Oxford feel and perform at their best, while supporting a culture of individual and collective responsibility.
