Public consultation on proposed development at Old Road Campus
A public consultation on the proposed Institute of Developmental and Regenerative Medicine (IDRM) at Old Road Campus will be held in early February. Anyone interested in the planned development is welcome to attend.
There will be two events – one on Friday 8 February, from 4pm to 7pm, and another on Saturday 9 February between 10am and 1pm. Both will take place at Boundary Brook House on Churchill Drive, Oxford OX3 7LQ.
The project is part of the University’s wider Masterplan to develop Old Road Campus into a world-leading centre for bioscience research. The IDRM will bring together more than 200 researchers to tackle the most pressing scientific and clinical problems in developmental and regenerative medicine.
The development is envisaged as a gateway between the Campus and the wider city, and will incorporate landscaping and outdoor amenity space. Design proposals for the site have now been prepared and will be on display at the event; the University would welcome feedback from interested members of the public. University staff and members of the design team will also be at the consultation events to answer questions.
You are invited to view the proposal
and to provide feedback via an online feedback survey which can be found here. The University will review all feedback and will take it into account before details are finalised and the detailed planning application submitted. This consultation will close on Friday 22 February.Only cycle and disabled car parking are available at the venue. If you have any queries about the event, please send them to [email protected].
