About
Professor Gildea's interests are in French and European history of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. He has written on the impact of the German occupation in France and Europe during the Second World War and is currently working on French and European Resistance. He recently directed an international collaborative research project on 1968 in Europe based on the collection and analysis of oral testimony.
