Women in Film: Emerging Talent Showcase
Ever wondered what it really takes to create a film that stands out? How to navigate the industry and share your work with an audience? What it's like to see your film up on the big screen?
Hosted by Ghetto Film School (GFS), this event brings together emerging filmmakers, industry insiders and an audience that loves film, to celebrate the next generation of filmmakers. Watch special preview screenings of new work by up-and-coming filmmakers from Oxford, London, and beyond – including an international short film shot on location in Vancouver.
You’ll hear from filmmakers about how their creative practice has developed and pick up invaluable tips from experts on developing story ideas, troubleshooting problems, budgeting and film festival strategies. You will have the chance to connect with industry professionals, emerging talent in the creative and media arts, students, and those with an interest in filmmaking and digital content development.
Produced by the Cultural Programme at the University of Oxford in partnership with Dr Stacy L. Smith, The University of Southern California’s Annenberg Inclusion Initiative and Ghetto Film School.
