Presented in association with the Oxford Lieder Festival

Rosalind Ventris is one of the UK’s best-known violists, and in 2021 she was appointed Director of Musical Performance and Performance Studies at the University of Oxford, and Senior Research Fellow at St Hilda’s College. This concert features music from her forthcoming recording of music by female composers, as well as songs for which she is joined by soprano Héloïse Werner, known to Oxford Lieder audiences as a member of ensemble The Hermes Experiment. The programme includes music by Sally Beamish, Elizabeth Maconchy, Héloïse Werner, and Nicola LeFanu, who also introduces the concert in conversation with Martyn Harry.

This collaboration is part of the Oxford Lieder Festival 2022.
