Dr Carl Macrae is a social psychologist specialising in how organisations achieve high levels of safety, reliability and resilience. His professional career spans research, policy, regulation and practice in a variety of safety-critical and high-risk industries. He regularly advises organisations and policymakers on challenging safety, risk and improvement issues.

Dr Eleanor Murray is an organisational behaviourist, specialising in how teams, organisations and systems respond to and manage disruptions and change, particularly in the context of healthcare. Her professional career includes over twenty years in health services management and consultancy, and concurrently, thirteen years in research. She also delivers executive education and consultancy on achieving resilience in uncertain times.
