This isn’t brain surgery - it’s much more delicate! Using the world’s most powerful microscopes and stitches finer than a human hair, microsurgeons are now able to reconnect the smallest blood vessels and nerves in the body - saving lives and limbs and restoring quality of life to millions.

Trinity alumnus Professor Neil Jones is a distinguished leader in this field and will discuss how microsurgery has revolutionised reconstructive surgery in a variety of settings. He will also share with us his experience of over 30 years of 'passing it on' through performing and teaching humanitarian reconstructive surgery in some of the least developed countries in the world.
