Museum of Climate Hope Art Workshop
Two-hour practical art workshop with environmental artist Anya Gleizer and climate-education researcher and practitioner Bill Finnegan, co founders of the University of Oxford's Museum of Climate Hope.
At this mixed-media painting workshop you will use traditional landscape painting to explore our relationship to the land and the more-than-human world.
There are subsidised tickets available. Prices range from £10-£50.
The session will invite anyone curious about art, climate and conservation to reflect on how we relate to our environment.
Bringing together perspectives from art and environmental science, we’ll explore historic landscape paintings at the Ashmolean.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist or new to creative expression, this setting offers a chance to connect with others, share insights, appreciate old masterpieces, challenge assumptions and begin the creative transformation to a more sustainable world.
You'll be able to discuss the role art has to play in climate hope.
All materials will be provided. Participants are invited to bring a photo of a landscape important to them on their phone or in print.
Subsidised and reduced rate tickets have been made possible due to the partnership with the Museum of Climate Hope.
