LGBTQ+ History Month Lecture: Thoughts on separating artist from the art; the scientist from the science
Dr Clara Barker will discuss aspects of this year’s LGBT+ History Month theme ‘Politics in Art’.
Is art inextricably linked to the artist? Is science easily separated from the scientists? Should they be, and is that reason to start distrusting science?
In an age where distrust of science is high, and when people with no expertise in subjects have a huge audience who trust their words, what can we and our University do to maintain and promote scientific integrity?
The discussion will be followed by a Q & A session hosted by Kellogg LGBTQ+ Fellow Dr Max Van Kleek.
This online event is free and open to all. Booking is required.
Please note, this event will be recorded.
