Instruments of Time and Truth are joined by harpsichordists Christopher Bucknall (Director of Music, Keble College) and Tom Foster for a celebration of Johann Sebastian Bach’s works for two harpsichords. Two of these concertos are more instantly recognised in their original forms as his double concertos for Oboe and violin and for two violins respectively. In these, their revised forms, Bach uses the resonance of two harpsichords side by side to create a wonderfully different sound world.

Alongside these three concertos, IT&T takes you on a journey through eighteenth century Europe with Telemann’s glorious instrumental suite Les Nations.

Instruments of Time and Truth are Oxford’s own period instrument orchestra, presenting world-class performances of Baroque and Classical music in Oxford and around the UK.

Free tickets are available for audience members under 26 thanks to the support of the CAVATINA Chamber Music Foundation.
