Using the creatures and artefacts in the Museum as a starting point, this experimental drawing workshop will develop ideas around creative evolution.

Encouraging participants into a playful, inventive frame of mind, artist Julia Thaxton will lead us through a series of experimental drawing games, including the 'exquisite corpse' as developed by the Surrealists. We'll play with the idea of an internal 'creative animal' and develop an imagined embodiment of the participants' creative/interior selves as a vehicle for ideas to emerge from the unconscious.

Suitable for teenagers and adults. No previous drawing experience necessary – just bring your curiosity and imagination!
