In a year where people have found increasing solace in, and drawn creative inspiration from the natural world, we invite you to participate in and enjoy Drawn to Nature: Sharks.

Join Museum Exhibition Officer, Kelly Richards, to look at sharks - their diversity and some of the incredible adaptations that put them near the top of the oceanic food web, before taking a chance to draw your own using the Museum’s specimens as inspiration with Q+As in this online, interactive science and art workshop.

Make sure to have your art materials to hand!

Kelly Richards is an exhibitions officer responsible for developing and delivering temporary exhibitions and accompanying event programmes. She jointly leads the Contemporary Science and Society temporary exhibition series, with a particular emphasis on integrating research and collections. Her previous research focussed on early chondrichthyan evolution and diversity, and her search for fossils has meant countless hours spent on rain-swept Northern English moors, in drizzly Derbyshire quarries, and evading leeches in dreich Scottish burns.
