Sadler’s Wells, Dimitris Papaioannou is coming to Oxford for a conversation on dance, classical reception, life, and art.

Avant-garde performance artist, choreographer, director, painter, comics creator, graphic designer, and the artistic director of the Athens 2004 Olympic Ceremonies, Dimitris Papaioannou will offer a Q+A at the Taylor Institution Main Hall (St Giles'), on Monday 4 March at 5pm.

The event will open with the projection of a video extract from Still Life (2014). Following this, three early career researchers who have closely engaged with Papaioannou’s trajectories and oeuvre will kickstart the discussion with the artist, before opening the floor to the audience.

Dimitris Papaioannou @ Oxford is an event organised by the Sub-Faculty of Byzantine and Modern Greek and the Archive of Performances of Greek and Roman Drama (APGRD), University of Oxford, with the support of Dance Scholarship Oxford (DANSOX).

Introduced by Dimitris Papanikolaou, Q+A moderated by Marcus Bell (St Hilda’s), Zoë Jennings (Queen’s), and Billie Mitsikakos (Merton).
