Sally Maitlis, Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Leadership, will be in conversation with John Flint, former CEO of HSBC, and now the first CEO of the United Kingdom Infrastructure Bank, founded in 2021 to accelerate the UK’s transition to a low carbon economy, and catalysing regional economic growth.

Drawing on John’s extensive leadership experience, this conversation will focus on a critical but often underappreciated quality of leaders – the capacity to learn from challenges. The talk will explore topics such as a sense of duty, the value of putting people first, and how to build sources of resilience that can strengthen and support leaders and their teams.
