Create a Friendship Sketchbook Journal Workshop

Choose your two-and-a-half-hour session in the morning OR afternoon: 10.30am–1pm OR 2pm–4.30pm.

This event is in-person only and will take place in the Museum's Learning Studio.

Learn how to create a beautiful sketchbook journal like some of the Dutch artists did who we're celebrating in our Bruegel to Rubens: Great Flemish Drawings exhibition.

Artist Hannan Zein Eddin will help you discover how to record sketches, thoughts and contributions from your friends.

Using beautifully designed and coloured papers, which will be Islamic Art themed, you'll be guided how to build a lovely friendship journal, learning how to bind it, create a closure and a cover, and decorate it with a variety of materials.

You will also make a matching bookmark and a few ephemera to go with it. The journal will be ready for drawing or writing. It will be a relaxing, creative activity producing a beautiful item to cherish afterwards.
