In Conversation: Building Kinship with Birds

One in eight bird species is facing extinction and many more are affected by ecological threats. How can we inspire more kinship with birds, and what are the positive actions we can take to support these singing others?

With this sound art installation, you are invited to confess a secret into a lichen-scented hemisphere. Custom software then live “translates” your words into birdsong for all to hear — yet only you know the meaning of your song.
