To finish our 400th anniversary celebrations in style, we’re running six back-to-back themed days crammed with activities for all the family. These additional offerings are included in our standard entry ticket.

Each day will run from 10am–6pm (last entry 5pm) and will include performances, tours, trails, crafts, food and music for all ages. Make sure to check out our Venus flytrap themed waste station!

Monday 25 July - A history themed day
Explore the Garden with re-enactors, dye-matching, a molecular scavenger hunt and much more!

Tuesday 26 July - A literature themed day
Join Alice in Wonderland characters and try your hand at using the Bodleian mobile printing press to make your own botanical bookmark.

Wednesday 27 July - A science themed day
Bug hunts, science shows, chemistry demonstrations, and more.

Thursday 28 July - An art themed day
Try your hand at some botanical illustration, garden design, or make some vegetable art.

Friday 29 July - A health, wellbeing and food themed day
The Plant-based Street Food Fair starts today, with five community groups bringing delicious plant-based cuisine to the Garden and exciting cultural activities. In addition to a plethora of crafting activities and tours, we’ll have a fantastic range of local artists performing music between 3pm–6pm.

Saturday 30 July - A birthday party for the Garden
Enjoy lots of our favourite activities, food and music to round off our anniversary celebrations with a bang! The Plant-based Street Food Fair will be running again and we will finish with more local artists performing between 3pm-6pm.
