Trudeau Foundation Scholarships

About

The Trudeau Foundation is an independent and non-partisan charity established in 2001 as a living memorial to Pierre Trudeau, the former Canadian Prime Minister, by his family, friends and colleagues. In 2002, the Government of Canada endowed the Foundation with the Advanced Research in the Humanities and Human Sciences Fund.

The Trudeau Foundation offers up to 20 scholarships for outstanding doctoral candidates who are enrolled or accepted on a DPhil course in social sciences or humanities and who are undertaking research in areas related to their four themes. This scholarship, the most prestigious of its type in Canada, has continuously attracted the very best scholars in the social sciences and humanities: individuals with leadership potential and a passion for public engagement who are likely to become national and international figures.

The programmes of the Foundation focus on four themes that shaped the life and career of Pierre Trudeau: Human Rights and Dignity; Responsible Citizenship; Canada and the World; and People and their Natural Environment.

To find out how to apply or for further information on eligibility please visit the Trudeau Foundation’s website.
